This policy explains what data specrove.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
The short version
Specrove runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets no cookies of its own for ordinary visitors. The only personal data that reaches this site is what your browser sends to any web server in order to load a page, plus anything you choose to put in an email.
If that changes, this page changes first.
Who is responsible
Specrove is an independent project. For any question about data held by this site, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to hello@specrove.com.
What is collected
Server logs
The hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and a timestamp. These exist to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. Hosting is provided by Hostinger, and these logs are held by them under their own retention schedule.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. WordPress sets cookies for logged-in administrators only, which means the site operator and nobody else.
Analytics
None. No Google Analytics, no alternative, no pixel, no tag manager. Visitor numbers are not measured.
Advertising
None. No advertising is served on this site and no advertising network has access to it.
Affiliate links
None at present. If affiliate links are added, they will be disclosed on the page where they appear and this section will be updated before they go live.
If you write to the address above, your message and email address are held for as long as needed to deal with it. They are not added to any list, and there is no list to add them to.
Legal basis
Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. Correspondence is processed on the basis of your own decision to send it. Nothing here relies on consent, because nothing here is collected that would need it.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to request access to personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to hello@specrove.com.
Third-party links
This site links out to manufacturer specification pages so that figures can be checked. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and following a link takes you outside anything covered by this policy.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page. If advertising, analytics or affiliate links are ever introduced, this page will say so before they appear, not after.
A note on scope. This policy describes the site as it actually is today, rather than listing every technology it might one day use. That is deliberate: a privacy policy that discloses cookies a site does not set is not more careful, it is less accurate. It also means this page has to be revisited whenever something changes — which is the correct trade.
