SPECROVE records phone specifications from the manufacturers’ own published pages. Each figure carries the source it came from and the date it was checked. When a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the field stays blank rather than being filled with an estimate.
Why SPECROVE exists
Phone specifications are copied widely, but they are rarely checked at the source. A number published at launch can be repeated across many sites long after a manufacturer has corrected its page or changed a regional configuration.
SPECROVE does the slower, more useful part: reading the manufacturer’s specification page, recording the figure as published, and attaching the source and check date to the phone. The result is a reference you can trace instead of a table of unattributed numbers.
What “verified” means
A phone is marked Verified when its published figures have been checked against a manufacturer source and the check date has been recorded. Phones still awaiting that process remain visible and are marked Pending. They are not presented as confirmed simply because a figure is available elsewhere.
The full process is explained on the How we verify page. It covers where the source is found, how figures are recorded, and how corrections are handled.
What a blank field means
A blank field means that the manufacturer does not publish that figure on the source page we checked. It does not mean that the figure is unimportant. It means SPECROVE will not replace a missing source with a teardown measurement, an estimate, or a number copied from another website.
A blank field is more useful than an untraceable number.
What you can do here
You can browse phones by brand and verification status, compare devices side by side, use the storage calculator, and read analysis based on the information manufacturers choose to publish. The site is designed to help you understand what can be confirmed, what cannot, and which differences matter when comparing phones.
What SPECROVE does not claim
SPECROVE does not run laboratory benchmarks, battery endurance tests, camera tests, or subjective scoring. A published specification and an editorial opinion are different things, so they are kept separate. The site records what the manufacturer publishes; it does not pretend that a specification table is a complete review.
Independence and corrections
SPECROVE is an independent project and is not owned by or affiliated with a phone manufacturer or retailer. Manufacturers and retailers do not decide what is listed or how the information is presented.
If you find an error, send the phone, the field, and the source you believe is correct to hello@specrove.com. The claim will be checked against the manufacturer’s page. Corrections supported by a source are made promptly and openly.
