Apple publishes no battery capacity, so that row is blank rather than filled in from a teardown. Everything else comes from the manufacturer’s own published specification.

What this specification doesn’t say
OpinionThe battery row on this page is blank, and that is the most informative thing about it.
Apple does not publish a capacity in milliamp-hours for any iPhone — not on the product page, not in the technical specifications, not in the manual. Every mAh figure you have ever seen attributed to an iPhone came from someone taking one apart, or from a regulatory filing photographed and passed around. Those numbers are usually right. They are not something Apple has said.
Most specification sites print them anyway, without marking where they came from. The number then travels: one site copies another, the qualifier falls off somewhere along the way, and within a month it reads like a published figure. Nobody lied. It simply stopped being possible to tell.
What Apple publishes instead is video playback hours. That is not evasion — for most people it is the more useful measure, since capacity alone tells you nothing without knowing how efficiently the chip and display use it. A larger battery behind a hungrier screen can last less. But it does mean the one figure buyers reach for when comparing two phones is the one figure Apple has decided not to give them.
So the row stays empty. A blank here means Apple publishes nothing, which is a fact about Apple. Filling it with a teardown number would have meant publishing something that cannot be checked against the manufacturer — and once that is allowed for one row, the dated source at the top of this page stops meaning anything.
If you want the teardown figures, they are easy to find and broadly reliable. Just know what they are when you use them.
Written 2026-08-04. This section is judgement, not measurement. Nothing in it comes from testing the phone — Specrove runs no benchmarks and publishes no scores. The figures above are the facts; this is what one reader of them makes of the result.
Read from the manufacturer’s page on 2026-08-02. Manufacturers edit specification pages after launch, so a figure that was accurate on that date may have changed since. How we verify.
